Weep

New Illustration, keep your eyes posted to this blog for a demonstration tutorial where I cover the whole process from expanding the initial thumbnail, rough sketch, color planning to final painting. My aim with the demonstration is to help others as much as I can. Its a love gift to anyone who wants to learn more from the universe through me... so I hope it does help. I'm editing and 'voice overing' so I'm hoping to get it up here within the next week. I'm doing it in between writing my next book (due early next year) and illustrating my first comic book (also due very early next year preview of page 23 ). If you like contemporary fantasy please consider buying my debut novel: The Snickitysnatcher HERE

The Three Little Zombie Pigs

I wasn't going to do a piece for the Bobby Chiu's ImagineFX and CGHUB Fairy-tale Re-imagined challenge. I hadn't even had time to look at the forum with everyone's wips. I read the details three months back but things have just been a little too intense. About three weeks or so ago I found some time. Did a few sketches and jumped right into the fray with 'The Three Little Zombie Pigs'. I altered my style to suit the black comedic/horror aspect. I'd love to post some close ups for the detailing and paint marks to be seem more clearly. Thinking about it. You'll find the WIP thread here: WIP!!

Pencil Sketch, Inked and Colored: part of sequential art.

Working on some sequential art. Here is the pencil sketch of one of the panels called 'spotted'. The first jpg is as it appears in my sketch book. The second is of the image cleaned up a little digitally. Next up inking and coloring.

...and a close up:

Lucille

Character concept:
This here is Lucille, the vampire. I liked the vamp I painted in my previous post called 'The Rise of the Vampire". I painted that vampire quite dark and and to fit the scene but wanted to do another take on that kind of character  so I took her as a base, painted over her to modify her into Lucille.

Rise of the Vampire

The undead have a new queen. A new vampire queen is born through a strange and magical ritual.
